Apostasy

Not everybody who says he's a Christian is a real Christian. Most are not. Some people go through life many years pretending to be Christians when they're not. Someone said there are believers, unbelievers, and make-believers. Now related to this are those that do not and never have accepted true Biblical Christianity but instead have always followed a false kind of Christianity, such as Roman Catholicism or Liberal Protestantism or one of the hundreds of cults. Now that person never fell away from true Christianity because he never accepted true Christianity. He was always a lifelong follower of pseudo-Christianity. — Dr. Curt D. Daniel

But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal life. — Jude: 5-7

In fact, I daresay, most so-called Christian denominations and seminaries have apostatized. They started off Biblically sound, studied Church history. But they departed from it and usually became liberal. I was reading about the oldest universities in America: Harvard, Dartmouth, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Yale. They all started off Biblically sound. None of them are Biblically sound anymore. They have apostatized. In a way whole nations, such as Israel, apostatized.... including America. Now America was never actually truly a Christian nation in the sense it was in our founding documents. — Dr. Curt D. Daniel
